How Do You Change A Porsche Boxter Tail Light Lens?
Over time, the tail light lenses on Porsche Boxsters can become cracked or discolored. Installing a new tail light lens is easy and only takes a few minutes. New lenses are available from the dealer as well as from a wide range of online vendors. You can also install clear lenses for an upgraded appearance. Clean the area around the tail light lens to avoid scratching the paint. Open the rear trunk. Unscrew the two black discs that hold the trunk liner in place. Set the discs and the liner aside. Remove the plastic tab located near the center of the back of the tail light assembly. Disconnect the wires that go to the taillight assembly and remove the tail light assembly. Remove the screws that hold the tail light lens onto the tail light assembly. Remove the lens. Installing the new lens in the reverse of removal. Reinstall the tail light assembly and trunk trim.
