The Honda Accord was first introduced in 1976 and endured many generational face-lifts. The most common headlamp replacement on the Accord requires composite halogen headlamp bulbs. The high beam and low beam headlamps are separate units and have different part numbers. The older versions of the Accord models from 1976 until 1989 used the sealed beam unit headlamps. While these were much easier to change, they did not last as long or burn as brightly as the composite halogen headlamps.
