Often issues with the fuse malfunctioning are related to inadequate venting, so once you have your dryer taken apart to replace the fuse, take some time to also vacuum out and investigate your venting. Unplug the dryer from its power source. Once you have done this, pull your dryer away from the wall. Examine the back of the dryer to locate the back cover panel, which is near the exhaust duct. Taking your screwdriver (with the appropriate tip), remove the back cover panel. The thermal fuse will be located inside the exhaust vent.
