In order to steer the Ford Windstar comfortably you will need a properly working power steering pump at all time. You will more than likely need to change the power steering pump two or three times through out the life of the Ford Windstar. The Ford Windstar’s power steering pump is connected to the engine on the driver side. Remove the pulley connected to the power steering pump using the wrench. Disconnect the belt from the pulley. Place the drain container under the power steering pump hose connection. Disconnect the power steering pump hose from the pump using the pliers; unscrew the nut that is connecting the hose to the pump at the bottom of the pump. Let the pump drain. Disconnect the power steering pump from the engine using the ratchet set. Using the ratchet set remove the two upper and two lower bolts. Pull the power steering pump out of the engine compartment. Place the new power steering pump into the same place. Secure the new power steering pump to the engine with the fou
