The fuel filter is unlike any other: the filter is buried by the firewall, and it has sensors attached to keep you informed of any changes in your fuel flow. Changing out the filter will help keep your fuel consumption to a minimum. Remove the fender well on the front passenger side of the truck. There will be at least 14 plastic tabs to remove. You can pry these out using a flathead screwdriver. Locate the fuel filter toward the firewall. The fuel filter will resemble a canister with wires coming out of the bottom.
