A dual boot computer is a PC that contains two operating systems. This lets you switch between the two systems at startup, allowing you to install programs exclusive to one OS or another without having to change systems or own multiple computers. You can make your new computer a dual boot system by merely installing the desired operating systems to the machine. Insert the newer operating system CD into your computer and restart the PC. Press any key to boot from the CD. Follow the onscreen instructions for your particular operating system until you reach the partition manager.
