How Do You Change A Brake Light On A C4 Corvette?
Have just the same question. Just ordered new brake parts in Canada ( at http://www.crossdrilledrotors.ca/ , online ), but I am completely not able to change a light . Think I’ll ask my cousin to help me out with this.
The 1984 to 1996 Chevrolet Corvette is often referred to as the “C4 Corvette,” because it’s the fourth-generation, or fourth body style, in the Corvette’s production cycle. The 1986 to 1996 models have standard brake lights, as well as an additional center-mounted brake light (often called a “third brake light”). Because the Corvette changed so little during the “C4” production cycle, all models use the same bulb type for both the standard brake light and the center-mounted brake light. Remove the two Phillips head screws from the brake light lens cover. Pull the lens cover away from the tail light panel. Set it aside on a soft surface because the lens scratches easily. Push in the bad brake light bulb. Twist it counterclockwise to disconnect it from the socket. Insert the new brake light bulb while wearing gloves. Twist it clockwise to secure it to the socket. Re-position the lens cover. Push it in firmly to secure it, and then tighten the two screws. Remove the license plate from you
