The vacuum belt is in constant movement while the vacuum is running, and gets worn down or even breaks from being used. Unplug the electrical cord of the Oreck Vacuum from the electrical outlet before changing the vacuum belt. Turn the vacuum upside down and locate the five screws that hold the base plate onto the vacuum.
