How Do You Celebrate Winning A School Election?
• Congratulate the candidates who ran against you. Let them know you thought they were tough competition, and you hope to bring some of their ideas into action. Try not to brag, tease, or mock them since you won and they didn’t. It will look extremely bad on your part if you were to do this. • Hand out candy or small gifts to your school. Show them that their voting really was appreciated! Stand in the middle of a busy hallway, offering your small presents to anyone who would like one. Remember to try and give some to the principal, secretary, etc. • Make a victory speech. Ask the principal if you could gather the student body for an assembly. Announce how much you appreciate this honor, what you plan to do for this school now that you are elected, etc. Try not to make this speech too long, though.
