How Do You Celebrate Oktoberfest In Syracuse, New York?
Celebrate the Great Syracuse, New York Oktoberfest fall festival in popular Clinton Square. Located in downtown Syracuse, this event is put on by the German Immigrant Ancestors in Syracuse and Onodaga Counties. Participants enjoy the scenery in and around Clinton Square and traditional German food, dance, music and–of course–beer. The largest tent party in Central New York, the celebration typically occurs on a weekend in late September, running Friday through Sunday, with activities taking place most of each day. Catch the opening ceremonies on Friday evening, as the Alphorn playing begins and local dignitaries greet the crowd of the festival. Take part in “Family Day” on Sunday, which usually features a talent contest, yodeling and alphorn playing to entertain people of all different ages.
