How Do You Catch Crabs With Recycled Fish Parts?

Catching crabs with fish parts is a fairly easy process. You will need 25- to 50-pound test trot line, 1- to 3-ounce weights and a net to scoop up the crabs. Crab nets (they look like a basketball hoop on the end of a broom stick) are cheap. A fish net with a long handle works equally well. Prepare your lines. The number is up to you. Cut the line into 5-foot lengths and tie knots in the end if it is cotton or singe the ends if nylon. Tie your weight about a foot from the end; the extra foot will be used to tie your bait. Decide what type of rig you want to use. The easiest to create is to tie the line to an empty plastic bottle with the cap screwed on tight. The disadvantages are the water needs to be relatively calm and you can’t put it out very far because a big crab will slowly take it out further. The other rig involves getting a couple of 6-foot pieces of rebar or iron pipe. Tie a line at the top of each pipe and tie the bait lines to the main line. The bait lines are 4-feet long
