How Do You Cast Shakespeare Axiom Reels?
Shakespeare Axiom reels are baitcasting reels that are on the lower end of price and quality. However, they are a good choice for anglers who just want to try out a baitcasting reel and not sink a lot of money into doing so. Anglers choose to use baitcast reels because they can accommodate heavier fishing line and lures than can other reels. It takes practice to become proficient at casting with baitcast reels, but anglers who master it can cast farther and more accurately. Set the Axiom’s drag. The drag system is controlled by the star-shaped piece on the handle of the reel. Turn it counterclockwise until you can no longer turn it, and then spin the drag clockwise a couple of turns. This will loosen the drag enough to a point that it is good for casting. Set the Axiom’s magnetic resistant, which is the dial on the side of the reel opposite the handle. A good place to start is to set the dial at the halfway point. Hold the reel in your dominant hand. Hold your thumb over the thumb bar
