Women’s tights keep us warm on a cold day or can act as a fashion statement. They come in different textures, colors and patterns to go with our most serious business suit or our funkiest after hours outfit. Unfortunately, they can be delicate and need extra TLC to keep them looking good. Take care of your tights and other hosiery to help save you money and to keep a snag from ruining the look! Store each pair of tights or pantyhose in separate containers. A sandwich size plastic bag works well. This prevents them from snagging while in a drawer or while you sort through them. Spray your tights with a light mist of hairspray before you wear them. The spray will stiffen the fibers and make them last longer. Wear cotton underwear with your tights instead of silky or polyester ones. This keeps them from sliding down your leg and you will be more comfortable.
