How do you care for garden mums?
Garden mums must have full sun. They should be in well drained soil. Mum plants should have plenty of water and soluble fertilizer; however all fertilizer should be stopped as the buds begin to open, otherwise you will get color fade. They can be pinched around the middle of June. They should be cut back after the stem dries out. Give the garden mum a good layer of mulch if you want it to grow the following year.
