How Do You Care For Fusion Hair Extensions?
Properly bonded fusion hair extensions look completely natural when properly installed, cared for and maintained. However, compared to traditional hair extensions, fusion hair requires a different method of care. Schedule regular appointments with your hairstylist for trims, tightening and the addition of new bonds. Depending on the method of fusion used and proper care these appointments are usually scheduled every 2 to 3 months. Comb hair with a wide tooth comb starting at the ends and work your way up to the scalp. Follow up by brushing with a natural bristle brush using the same method. This will remove tangles that put strain on the fusion hair extension bonds. Perform this step at least 2 times a day. Tilt your head back and start at the scalp and work to the ends when shampooing hair. Massage the scalp gently, and do not rub shampoo into the bonds.
