Don’t waste money on a “custom turtle tank”. Just get a normal aquarium tank. Save money by leaving out the lid and hood. Prepare the water. You’ll want to fill the tank up about halfway with water so make sure you get an appropriately sized tank. Remember to add water conditioner to get rid of chlorine and chloramine in the tap water. I like to use Prime brand conditioner as it gets rid of harmful stuff like ammonia. Use a water thermometer to keep the temperature between 76F-84F. Setup a basking area. 1/3 of the tank should be land. I like to use cork bark as it floats and gives the turtle more water to swim in.
