Whether from an injury or the aftermath of a nose surgery, having a swollen nose can be both painful and annoying. The soft tissues fill with blood and the ensuing inflammation can make sleeping, eating, breathing, and talking a little harder. You do not have to just grin and bear it, however. There are things you can do on your own to ease your discomfort until the swelling in your nose goes away. Sleep as inclined as possible (with your head raised).
