How Do You Camp At Wilsons Promontory?
The largest coastal wilderness area in Victoria, the beloved Wilsons Promontory is located on the southernmost point of Australia’s mainland. Affectionately referred to as “The Prom” by locals, the 80-mile (130 km) coastline abounds with activities for visitors, including nature walks, sandy beaches and snorkeling. Camping and accommodations in the national park are offered at Tidal River, which is located 18 miles (30 km) inside the park. Contact the Parks Victoria Information Centre at 13 1963 or +61 3 8627 4700 (international). Reservations are required in advance as all campsites and accommodations are in high demand, especially during Easter, long weekends and summer holidays, which all require minimum stays. Book reservations for unassigned campsites located near the beach and river up to 12 months in advance. The park offers 484 camping and caravan sites, 20 of which are equipped with power. Site availability is on a first come, first served basis. Reserve group accommodations i
