How do you calculate to get linear feet of a room?

Linear feet are feet in a line. (Hence the name.) It’s straight line distance and is usually found by simply measuring rather than calculating. The area of the room could be calculated. If the room is rectangular, measuring the length of two adjacent sides would allow one to calculate the area, the number of square feet, in that room. Multiplying the length and the width will give the area for the room.
