How Do You Calculate Domain & Range On A Calculator?
Finding the domain and range is a relatively simple task to accomplish, but sometimes it is much easier to use a graphing calculator to help you out instead of working it all out by hand. Although a graphing calculator will help you easily graph the function, finding the domain and range of the function still requires some basic mathematical thought. This article uses a Texas Instruments graphing calculator (TI-84 Plus) to graph a function. The basic steps on graphing the function are the same for different versions of the TI graphing calculator series. Press the “Y=” button on your graphing calculator and enter the function you wish to graph in the first line. For example, y = √x (y equals the square root of x) will be entered into your calculator as follows: \Y1 = √(X) Press the “Graph” button on your graphing calculator and wait for it to generate your graph. You may use the “Zoom” and “Window” buttons to either zoom in closer on your graph or change the windows settings of the grap
