The following steps will help you purchase a nitro-powered RC car. Decide which kind of nitro vehicle you want. Most people lump all types as cars when they first get into the hobby. You can buy on or off-road cars or trucks or even buggies. Part of the decision is if you want to race or just play with your RC car in the street. Find a kit you want. You can get a Ready To Run or RTR kit or build your own. The RTR will come with everything you basically need. With unassembled kits you will have to put everything together, but there will be instructions on how to do this. Purchase an RC receiver, servos for the car to acknowledge the receiver, an engine (which won’t come in an RTR model) and fuel.
