How Do You Burn .Dmg Files Using A Windows Computer?
A windows won’t be able to recognize Mac files. Files like .app or .dmg etc won’t show up automatically. You should make sure that in your control panel, you look for folder options. Make sure “show hidden files” is checked. If your .dmg doesn’t show up, you should try Macdrive 7 or 8, which allows you to access Mac formatted hard drives (HFS+, compared to a PC’s NTFS drives). These two types of hard drive formats aren’t compatible with each other. You’ll be able to access the .dmg file, and then use burning software (like Roxio or something) to burn it to a disk. As a sidenote, if you have a usb stick that’s formatted with FAT32 hard drive format, you can transfer the .dmg file off your Mac onto the usb flash drive. FAT32 is readable by both HSF+ and NTFS, so you should be able to transfer it to burn it.
