How Do You Build Wood Toys?
Wooden toys for children can be a personal gift or a fun, inclusive weekend project. They can be made in a variety of ways and with different types of wood. The projects can range from simple to complex, depending on your level of skill, time and commitment. To make wooden toys, you can either go off your own deign or purchase a kit from a nearby craft store. Two examples of easy wooden toys to make are memory tiles and a wooden tic-tac-toe board. Cut the wood into 14 2-inch square tiles using the jig saw. Tiles can be made slightly larger if preferred, but they should not be smaller, or they could become a choking hazard. Decide on seven simple designs to use (for example, a house, a bird, a fish, or a smiley face). On one side of each tile, burn the outlines of the design with the wood burning tool.
