How Do You Build The Zephyr Toy Rubber Band Car?
The Zephyr rubber band racer is a toy vehicle made by a company called Doc Fizzix, who specialize in mousetrap cars and rubber band racers. This particular toy set a speed record, according to the company’s product description, of an incredible 5 meters in less than a second! The car is fairly simple to put together, either from a model kit or your own materials (although the kit is the best way to go). Unpack the Doc Fizzix kit, or cut out the pieces of wood. Without the kit, you need two 6-inch long side pieces, two 4-inch long front and rear pieces, an 8-inch fuselage, and two 2-inch struts. Lay out the side pieces about 4 inches apart, with the narrow edges facing down. Glue the front and rear pieces across the top of the front and rear of the vehicle to form a rectangular frame. You want a wide, flat surface, so place the flat edges of the front and rear pieces against the sides. Wait a few minutes for the glue to dry. Assemble the axles. Glue or attach one toy wheel to an axle. R
