How Do You Build Pull-Up Bars In A Garage?

You’ll also have the luxury of working out whenever your body feels the need. One simple but effective workout tool that can be installed at home is a pull-up bar. Pull-up bars can be placed in a way that takes up little to no space either in a basement or a garage. Clear off two joists, which are the 2-by-4 supports that hold the roof up. The joists run parallel with each other where the ceiling would be in a house. Cut four 6-inch-long pieces of 2-by-4 using a table saw. Place one of the cut boards up against the first of two joists. Make sure you have a couple feet on both sides of the area you are placing the pull up bar. Line the cut edge of the 6-inch board up with the bottom of the rafter.
