How Do You Build Pole Barn Outbuildings?
Pole barns are a fine alternative to more expensive buildings. With care during construction, they are both economically sensible and provide all the basic needs of more elaborate barns. Constructed of wood and sheet metal, pole barns are effective and attractive buildings to provide storage space and shelter for livestock. Place your poles every 2 to10 feet. Materials selected will affect the length of your pole barn. If you use metal poles, they must be placed closer together, but if you are using wood, they can be spaced farther apart. The distance between poles needs to be a maximum of 10 feet, and the building can be as long or as short as you want it to be. Dig post holes deep enough to secure the pole firmly. Ideally, they need to be at least 18″ deep. Wet soil requires deeper holes to ensure stability in the poles. Concrete is used to secure the poles. If you do not build it firmly, you will face constant maintenance and rebuilding. Place the construction materials overlapping
