How Do You Build Good Business Teams Using The Balloon Game?
Team building is an important part of running a successful business and everyone thinks about teams differently. Some people believe that there should be a single leader and several followers, while others feel that each team member should have equal input and decision making responsibility. The important thing for a manager is to have teams that work well under her specific system. To help people learn to operate in these types of teams, use this team building exercise to help people identify the ways you want them to work together and the types of people you want in an ideal group. Assign each of four qualities that you think are vital to every team a color of balloon. They might be things like leadership, attention to detail, focus and creativity. Each trait gets its own color. For example, red might be leadership and blue might be focus. Have each person select the color balloon that matches the characteristic that they think that they embody. Each person can only have one balloon.
