In this article you will learn how to build ample amounts of shelving in an area that is all to often overlooked. Cut one sheet of OSB to make two pieces 2’X 8′. Cut six 2X4’s 21″ long. Cut three 2X4’s 40″ long. Lay two 8′ 2X4’s parallel on the floor with their small sided down and mark the center (4′) of each. With three 3″ wood screws attach a 21″ 2X4 between the ends of each 8′ 2X4 and place one 21″ 2X4 in the center using the same method. You should now have a structure that is 24″ wide X 8′ long X 3-1/2″ tall. Place one piece of OSB which you cut to 2′ X 8′ in step 1 on top of the frame created in step 2. Attach the OSB to the frame using 1 6d nail every 12″. Repeat steps 2 and 3. Attach one 2X4X8 to the ceiling with the outside face 2′ from the wall.
