How Do You Build Big Trapezius Muscles?
The trapezius muscles are the large muscles connecting the neck and the shoulder girdle. Their function is to stabilize and raise the shoulder girdle as well as assist with head movement. There are a variety of exercises that work these muscles, and large, strong trapezius can be achieved through the right choice of weight training exercises and proper form. Stand grasping a barbell with an overhand grip eight to 10 inches apart. Allow the barbell to hang straight in front of you with arms naturally extended.
