Here is a fun summer time game for young and old alike. It’s the washer game. It is kind of like horseshoes without the heavy horseshoes. Play it at the beach, campground, picnics. It is also a good game for seniors because they can easily throw the washers and they can adjust the distance anyway they want between the two boxes. Cut plywood into two pieces 16″ X 16″ each. These will form the bottoms for the two game boxes. Cut the 2’X4s’ into 4, 16″ long pieces Cut the remaining 2’X4′ into 4, 13″ long pieces Cut the PVC pipe into two cylinders 4″ deep (long) with the hacksaw or power hack saw (or ask the people at the hardware, big box or plumbing supply store to do this for you). Assemble two of the 16″ 2X4’s with two of the 13″ 2X4’s for the square frame of the box. Use the 3″ nails to assemble the frame (i.e., nail the 2X4’s to each other).
