Igloos are domed shelters made from blocks of snow that used to be frequently built by Inuit Native American Indians during the cold winter months. Even if you cannot build a real igloo out of snow, making one using an old bowl and some modeling clay is a relatively simple craft project for a rainy afternoon. Ideal for school projects or just for fun, making a modeling clay igloo does not take long and is sure to impress. Cover your table or other work surface with a vinyl tablecloth in order to protect it from the modeling clay. Leave your white modeling clay in a sunny window for an hour to soften.
