An ice fishing sled makes the sport convenient. You can pull all your supplies out onto the ice and sit inside for a day of ice fishing. It protects you from the wind and snow so that you can stay warm. When you’re done ice fishing, you can drag it back to your vehicle and fold it down flat for storage. Follow these steps to build an ice fishing sled. Buy a large calf sled from a tractor supply store. These are large plastic sleds that are made of heavyweight material. If you’re unable to find a calf sled, then get a large sled that has 6-inch high sides. Get four sticks of 1/2-inch steel conduits. They need to be 10 feet long. Purchase a 12-by-18 foot blue tarp, two 1/4-inch bolts that are 6 inches long and galvanized mechanic’s wire. Use a conduit bender to bend the sticks of conduit to fit your sled. They should extend to both sides of the sled when bent. Drill the conduit pipes to the ice fishing sled, one end on each side. Center the tarp’s narrowest end on the back of ice fishing
