How Do You Build A Worm Farm Box?

0

Building a worm box is an inexpensive and cost effective means of keeping the environment clean by letting worms create fertilizer from ordinary kitchen scraps and other materials. The fertilizer will be nutrient-rich and chemical-free allowing you to grow your own organic vegetables. Place the boxes end to end in one row. Select an area that is accessible from all sides and that gets sunlight. Drill two holes in both ends of each box. Each hole should be 2 inches from the top, two inches from the side, and 12 inches apart. Insert the floral wire through the holes and tie the boxes together. Cut the floral wire after each tie. Cover the boxes with the plastic sheet material. Push the sheeting inside the boxes. Add dirt, garbage and worms. Fill the boxes to the top. Water as necessary to make a moist environment. Cover the worm farm with the excess plastic. Place the plastic over the top of the dirt.
