How Do You Build A Working Model Tractor?
• Make a wooden base one half inch thick, 3 inches wide, and 9 inches long. Make two two axles of the same thickness and place them under it. The axles should run the width of the tractor, and they can be square. • Cut disks from spools for the wheels, or cut circles out of thin wood for the rear wheels and thicker wood for the front wheels. • Fasten the wheels to the axles with screws and washers, or with nails. • Mount the dry cell on small strips and use wires to hold it on. Fasten the motor with screws and wire it to the dry cell in the usual way. Cut a groove in one of the front wheels. It will serve as the drive wheel. The groove receives a cord belt that is attached to the electric motor.
