Cut the two-by-fours using a circular or hand saw to the lengths listed above. Many home improvement stores offer free cutting of purchased wood. Use a circular saw to cut a 45 degree angle off the edge of the two 38-inch two-by-fours. Make sure the cut is straight; this will be the bottom support for your work bench.
