There’s no place like home, and if you have the room in your backyard, why not build an outdoor fire pit? Fire pits add adventure and a warm outdoor ambiance. You can build one for less money than you would expect and spend just a few hours of your time. ~ Check your local city ordinances. ~ Before you start this project, make sure it’s okay to have an outdoor fire pit in your area. ~ Scout out your backyard fire pit location. ~ Where you decide to put your fire pit is important. It should be clear of any building or foliage overhang, and far enough away from any structures that could be adversely affected by heat. You should also avoid any sprinkler pipes, or any other underground obstructions.
