How Do You Build A Water Fountain?
There are several ways to build a water fountain for your lawn or garden, from a simple flower pot fountain to a permanent structure like a pond or a mosaic tiled fountain. Building a pond with a water fountain is not a difficult project, but it is more labor intensive than the flower pot fountains, and less complicated than a mosaic fountain. Dig a hole that fits the shape and depth of the pond liner. Unless you would like to have a deep pond for koi or plants, select a shallow pond liner from your local home improvement store. Excavate any rocks, roots, or other debris from the hole before you place the liner. Insert the liner into the hole. Make sure that the liner is level and that the surface beneath it is smooth. The rim of the liner should be just above the surface of the ground. Mix the mortar and spread a layer on the ground around the perimeter of the liner. Scrape the top of the mortar with the jagged edge of your trowel so the rocks will adhere better. Work in small section
