If you’re looking to build your own video projector for your house, you can create one with the electronic video devices you already have. You can take an old monitor that will connect to your computer or video player and turn that monitor into a projection screen. You only need to make a projection tube for the screen made out of cardboard and a fresnel lens. You can then play television shows, DVDs or computer-stored videos on a big, projected image. Choose a source to supply the images. This can include a computer hard drive, digital video recorder, VCR, DVD player or a cable/satellite television receiver box. A computer will need its keyboard and mouse to access the videos, while all others will need their remote or manual controls. Connect the video source to a compatible working monitor.
