Take notice of certain designs from various ones that might pique your interest, and it would be fairly simple to devise your own plans and build your own TV shelf. Most TV shelves are built from solid lumber that has been glued together and ran through a planer, but the easiest way to build your own would be to use ¾-inch plywood. You can still get the design you want but less time is required because you will not have to glue and clamp solid lumber together.
