A toy box is a good way to keep your daughter’s bedroom neat and tidy while teaching her about self-responsibility. Toy boxes are simply receptacles for all of your child’s playthings. One of the biggest problems with many toy boxes is that they have hinged lids which crush and pinch tiny fingers. By building your own toy box without a lid, however, you will prevent accidents from happening. Sand all of the edges of all of the the boards of wood. Lay one of the 18-inch square boards on the ground. This will be the bottom of the toy box. Nail the other two boards upright on two opposite sides of the base board. You will make a “l_l” shape. The two sides will be nailed to the outer edge of the bottom board. Nail the two 20-by-18 inch boards to the outer edges of the sides. This will complete your box shape.
