The key to building a successful community of single adults within your larger church population, is balance. If you can be inclusive of all types of singles, but also minister to the unique needs of widows, the divorced, the never-married, and single parents, you are well on your way. You also need to balance the social needs of single folks, and encourage legitimate friendships, without becoming a Christian dating service. This is admittedly a tall order, but here are a few things to keep in mind to keep your balance and succeed at this much-needed ministry. Balance your activities.
