How Do You Build A Speaker Box Enclosure?
Building a stereo speaker box is an inexpensive way to build up your sound system. Sound equipment is expensive. Any way to do it yourself will reduce your cost and give you the same sound you would get in a store bought system. This project also hones carpentry skills so that you can take on more complicated projects to build your sound system. Determine the size of the speaker you will be putting inside the box. Allow for about a foot in your box to make room for the speakers and wires. Use 1/2-inch hardwood boards to make your box. Do not use plywood or particle board. The sound waves created inside the box will shake non-hardwoods apart. Use a large wood clamp to hold the wood piece in place on the radial arm and cut four 2- by 2-foot pieces of hardwood.
