This project should not take more than a weekend, and is a great father-son activity or an activity for several friends to participate in together. Draw the outline of the necessary wood shapes onto the hardwood. You will need 2 seat legs, 11 back slats, 7 seat slats, 2 back legs, 1 seat spreader, 2 seat supports, and 1 back spreader. The dimensions for these should be: Seat legs: 33 3/4-inches by 4 1/2 feet by 3/4-inches, back slats and seat slats: 19-inches by 1 1/2-inches x 3/8-inches, back legs: 37 3/4-inches by 6-inches by 3/4-inches, seat spreader: 13-inches by 1 1/2-inches by 3/4-inches, seat supports: 18-inches by 1 1/2-inche
