That stability all begins with constructing solid walls. Decide how thick you would like the walls to be. If you plan to use your shed as a work area, using a 2-by-6 inch stud instead of a 2-by-4 inch stud will allow you to add more insulation to the walls to help make working in extreme temperatures more comfortable. Lay the lumber out on a flat surface, like a driveway. Framing the walls of your shed is just as easy as framing the walls of a home. The foot, or bottom, piece of lumber used to make the wall is called the sill plate and should be made of pressure treated wood so it will last longer.
