How Do You Build A Robot From Household Objects?
Building junk robots out of common household objects is all about seeing trash in a new context. A small light bulb looked at in the right way can become an eyeball. An alligator clip could become a hand, or an old radio dial can become a mouth. Pick a robot body. The type of body you use for your robot will determine the type of robot. If you use an old paint can, for example, you will get a squat, bulky robot. A metal flask or a gas can will make for a much slicker-looking mechanical man or woman. You could also use a broken answering machine or other old piece of electronic equipment. Find a head or put one together. Some old cell phones already look like faces with little or no modification. Alternately, you could put one together out of different pieces. For example, you could take a pipe end cap and use bolts for eyes and a bent nail for the mouth. Assemble arms.
