How Do You Build A Portable Lemonade Stand?
Come rain or come shine, a portable lemonade stand will ensure you can sell as much lemonade as possible with a quick setup and tear-down. Make your own neighborhood lemonade stand using an old cardboard box (or two, if your box is small). A refrigerator box is ideal, but any box that once held a large appliance–like a washing machine–will do. Step 1 Measure the height of your young lemonade-making entrepreneurs with a measuring tape. Step 2 Cut the sides of the box with a box cutter so it stands at about half the smallest child’s height. Step 3 Turn the box so the bottom is up. Step 4 Make a small incision in each corner of the box with the box cutter. Step 5 Slip each dowel through an opening, and push it all the way through the box and into the ground to stabilize the box and act as rods for the stand’s ceiling. Step 6 Staple a piece of fabric across the top of the four dowels to create the stand’s ceiling. The size of the fabric will vary, depending on the size of the box you use
