Building a pool house can be a simple and inexpensive project using pole construction. If you plan to use your pool house for storage and entertaining, you need a design that will meet all of your needs. A three sided structure, open at the front, containing a storage area on one side and a restroom on the other is a good start. Add enough room to entertain in the middle and your pool house serves several functions. Lay out the design of your pool house using builder’s string and stakes. Allow for plumbing and electricity as needed. Mark the location of your posts and bathroom essentials with different colors of spray paint. Dig the holes for you posts as outlined in your local building codes. Place the posts and secure them temporarily with 2 by 4s, making sure they are level. Pour the concrete and let it dry. Frame the outside of your pool house using treated wood beams. Attach the beams to the posts using metal brackets, then add 2 by 4s to fill in the frame and to build the interio
