How Do You Build A Mousetrap Car Without Rubber Bands?
Hobbyists from little kids to college students to full grown adults have been building mousetrap cars for decades. Whether you are creating a fully tricked-out mousetrap car for a contest, or just want to take a few minutes to make a fun toy with the kids, the construction of a basic model mouse trap car will serve your purpose. You can always add more bells and whistles later on. Attach the eye hooks to the base of the mousetrap, about 1 cm from each of the four corners. Align the hooks so the rods can slide through them. Make sure the cylindrical rods — the axles — will fit through the eye hooks with enough room to turn. Slip one axle through the eye hooks on the back of the car and one axle through the eye hooks on the front of the car. Make sure the front and back axles are parallel. Slip the washers onto the axles and push them toward the eye hooks. Don’t put them flush against the eye hook because you need to allow space for the axle to move. Glue each of the wheels securely on
