Lay one of your 10-foot boards connecting the top of one post to another and attach with your three-inch screws. Lay out your short posts on the ground. Lay your other 10-foot board connecting the top of one to the other and attach it with your three-inch screws. Measure out the spots for your corner posts on the deck. Place one of your foot-long blocks at each corner and nail it to the deck. Stand your nine-foot frame on the corner blocks nearest the house. Lean it gently against the house.
