Building your own lightsaber that beams up can be great fun for Star Wars fans of all ages. Lightsabors are easy to make, relatively inexpensive and something the kids can help with. You should build either 2 or 4 at a time, to provide for a fair fight. Purchase a small LED flashlight. A good size is 1 1/4 inch x 4 1/2 inch but it can be smaller or larger, depending on the size you want. Go with a smaller size for a smaller child to make it easier for them to grip and maneuver. Buy a chrome pipe the flashlight will fit into snugly. Take the flashlight to the store with you to check for size. Buy the bushing, cap, and reducer coupling at the same time. Make sure they are the proper size. Insert the flashlight into the chrome pipe. Mark on the pipe where the on switch is on the flashlight. Remove the flashlight from the pipe. Drill a hole in the pipe large enough to access the on/off switch when the flashlight is placed into the pipe. Screw the cap onto the bottom of the chrome pipe and
